Delivery Lead

At Carbon Re, we’re on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest emitting industries (like Cement, steel and glass), by applying cutting-edge AI where it matters most.

We’re a small and growing team of scientists, engineers, strategic thinkers, and implementers who care deeply about impact and believe in getting there with good humour and a healthy dose of urgency. Our first SaaS product helps cement producers optimise their operations in real time, cutting costs and carbon today while building foundational AI for the next industrial revolution.

With Carbon Re, you’ll do something that actually helps the planet. You will play a pivotal part in this role.

About the role

We’re looking for a Delivery Lead to join our Customer Success team and help us maximise what AI can do for the planet. You’ll drive the crucial effort of getting our product into the hands of industrial customers – faster, better, and more reliably every time. As a project lead and a team coach, you’ll shape how we deliver complex deployments across the cement industry and beyond. This is a hands-on, high-trust role where excellent communication, thoughtful planning, and a love for solving complex delivery problems will directly impact reducing emissions across the planet.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead customer delivery across all deployments. Ensure every signed contract leads to on-time results. Coordinate and support a growing team of Deployment Managers and ensure project delivery is smooth, repeatable, and value-driven.

  • Act as project lead on key deployments. Directly manage the rollout of our product to strategic customers, leading end-to-end delivery across complex technical and stakeholder environments.

  • Allocate resources across teams. Work with engineering, ML, and product leads to assign the right people to the right projects and escalate resourcing gaps where needed.

  • Coach and grow the deployment team. Mentor and support 3 Deployment Managers through regular pairing, escalation support, and process coaching. Help them level up their technical fluency and PM craft.

  • Unblock and de-risk. Proactively identify delivery risks at every phase - from data access to in-plant testing - and coordinate to resolve them across Carbon Re and customer teams.

  • Build and manage strong customer relationships. Serve as the escalation point for delivery across all customers, fostering trust, transparency, and constructive problem-solving.

  • Improve time to value—Lead company-wide efforts to improve delivery speed and consistency through better processes, reusable assets, deployment playbooks, and feedback loops.

  • Collaborate across the business. Work closely with the Heads of Machine Learning, Product, and Engineering to plan deployment pipelines and align on shared priorities.

What a great fit looks like

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience as a project or delivery lead, including managing other PMs or ICs

  • A track record of successful project delivery into heavy industry - e.g. Cement, energy, chemicals, or manufacturing

  • Excellent communication, coordination and escalation management skills

  • Comfort navigating high-ambiguity environments - with a bias toward clarity, action and ownership

  • Willingness to get hands-on in complex projects - this is not a detached management role

  • Ability to dive into technical details - you don’t need to write code. Still, you must be comfortable understanding a wide range of areas, from cement processes to data flows for machine learning.

You’ll excel if you are

  • Fluent in managing projects that involve deploying software solutions, in particular, data pipelines, machine learning, and software deployment

  • Experienced working in unstructured or start-up environments - you’ve had to bring structure and improve delivery without a pre-built playbook.

  • Thrive in roles that combine strategic oversight with direct execution - you’re happy switching from planning across 10 deployments to unblocking one.

  • A natural mentor and coach - you enjoy helping others solve problems, improve their craft, and grow in responsibility.

  • Prefer to build and adapt processes rather than follow them - and you know when to improvise

  • A strong customer communicator - able to build trust with both technical project leads and senior stakeholders

  • Excited by Carbon Re’s mission and want to help decarbonise heavy industry through high-impact software delivery

Your experience may not check every box. We’d still love to hear from you, even if your experience isn’t an exact match.
