Deployment Manager
At Carbon Re, we’re on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest-emitting industries, like cement, steel, and glass, by applying AI where it counts.
We’re a growing team of scientists, engineers, and thinkers who care deeply about impact and believe in getting there through collaboration, creativity, and urgency balanced with care. Our first SaaS product helps cement producers optimise operations in real time, lowering costs and carbon, while building foundations for the next industrial revolution.
With Carbon Re, you’ll do work that really matters.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Deployment Manager to join our Deployments team and help bring our product into live industrial settings. You’ll guide projects from kickoff through evaluation, enabling cross-disciplinary collaboration and aligning internal and external stakeholders. This hands-on, coordinating role balances structure, empathy, and adaptability. This could be a great fit if you enjoy making complex systems work in real life and want to see your work translate directly into climate impact.
Your Main Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end customer deployments, guiding our product's delivery into cement plants and industrial settings over typical 3-month cycles.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, partnering with ML, platforms, and solutions to align efforts, timelines, and priorities.
Monitor and address risks and dependencies, surface issues early, adapt plans thoughtfully, and enable teams to move forward.
Foster strong customer partnerships, collaborate with operators, engineers, and site teams to build trust, enable adoption, and keep channels open.
Own clear communication, create effective meetings and share transparent updates that keep everyone aligned.
Help refine our process, contribute to playbooks, templates, and shared practices to smooth future deployments.
Develop domain fluency, learn about cement operations, control systems, and machine learning so you can help connect the dots across teams.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate
Experience in delivery, project coordination, or client-facing roles, ideally in technical or industrial domains.
Proven ability to build rapport across technical and non-technical teams.
A mindset of accountability, you notice slips early and quietly help get things back in balance.
Clear and effective communication, whether in conversation, writing, or facilitation.
Comfort with uncertainty — you can bring structure out of ambiguity and adapt as things evolve.
Where You’ll Shine
You’ve led multiple projects with evolving scope and stakeholders.
You enjoy connecting across technical, operational, and commercial areas.
You like to get involved, ask questions, listen, and help unblock things.
You thrive in fast-moving, unstructured environments and bring order via processes or frameworks.
You’re a fast learner with curiosity about AI, industry, or sustainability.
You care deeply about climate impact and want your work to matter.
💡 You don’t have to check every box — we believe that diverse experience and perspectives often lead to the best hires. If this role resonates, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Get
💸 Transparent, competitive salary, reviewed regularly with fairness in mind.
📈 Equity in the company, when we succeed, you do, too.
🕰️ Flexible working, we trust you to find your best flow.
🌴 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), rest matters.
🪙 Generous pension scheme, planning for your future, too.
